| Comment: | It is our pleasure to invite you to the 13th Congress of the Middle East Society of Organ Transplantation (MESOT) which will be held from 12th ââ¬â 15th December 2012 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
MESOT has been the regional pioneer in enhancing transplantation activities, and in providing a platform for cooperation among its members. Our efforts over the past 25 years have been instrumental in setting up and expanding transplant programs across the Middle East. The theme of this yearââ¬â¢s congress is ethical Organ Donation. To combat transplant commercialism, trade and unethical conducts, the MESOT has become a leading and active partner in establishing The Transplant Society and International Society of Nephrology policies on medical/ethical issues. Many members of the MESOT were involved in drafting the Declaration of Istanbul" and currently they serve on the Declaration of Istanbul Custodian Group.
